Hello,
No problem this is an ongoing offer. I have done a quick scan for you and attached it.
If you would like a better quality scan (there is another similar photo which is better quality in another section of the book) please PM me with your email and I will do that for you.
Hope that helps.
Regards Biker

Hello biker... I am new to the site. But have you any details of my Father Snow Blagburn Tallantyre and my uncle William Vivian Shannan who both worked at the Gas Light & Coke Company and took out patents on their behalf.

Hello Biker Hope I'm not to late for a request, have just found your posting regarding the Gas Light & Coke Company.
Is there anything on my Grandfather Rifleman Henry Alfred Connor formerly of Becton Rangers and 12th London Reg.
An extract from the June 1941 'Co-Partners' Magazine' said, Product Works On Febuary 2nd, Mr H.A. Connor was presented with a case of pipes for himself and a handbag for his wife. He was retiring after 38years service with the company.
Thanks in anticipation John

Hi John
Sorry to say that he isn't mentioned in the index in the 1915 edition.

Hello Biker
On your first post does the alphabetical list of soldiers show names from A-Z, only the names I'm getting finish at BLACK W. Would love to get the full list if possible.
Many thanks
John

Hi John
That is curious. I have checked myself and can see the whole list. The last name is Young.
I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem or can confirm what they can see?
Regards Biker

Hello Biker,
A few seconds to load and then I can scroll it down to Young with no problem.

Hi Biker,
Thanks for posting this information. A number of my relatives worked for the GAs Light & Coke Company. I think that the HG Salisbury listed in your index may be one of them. Is there any chance that you could post or send me any information on this chap that you have found in this book?
Thanks again for taking the trouble to transcribe and share all of this information.
Pete

Hello Pete
Just a brief outline to see if you can identify him as yours or not. There is a photo in the book of HG Salisbury who was in the Signal Section of "The Rangers". There is also a brief "War Service Notes" regarding an honour conferred on him by The Czar of Russia and bestowing on him the Cross of the Order of St George. Pte Salisbury , now 19 years of age has been in the Maintenance Dept of the Company since he was 14 first in Paddington and then in Edgware Road ... etc.
If this is your relative then if you PM me your email I can send you scans of the appropriate pages.
Regards Biker

Hi Biker, I have recently purchased an item with an inscription on it. The item was presented to a H S REESON of the gas light and coke company London in 1918. In researching this name I have come up with your thread and see his name is listed in your index. Would it be possible to let me have any further information or a picture of him if there is one? Regards Martin.
