Checked Christ Church marriages for Sewell and Douglas 1854 - 1857. Still no trace. For some obscure reason there are no microfilmed records of marriages prior to 1854, even though there are records for baptisms and burials before this date. When I asked the librarian she could only suggest that the records were too poor to photograph and suggests an enquiry at the main archives held at Carlisle Castle may explain the reason.
Stuck on this one, I'm afraid.
