Ellen Marie Calland Scoble death in South Africa

Hi,

This is a total brickwall and a long shot. I am hunting for the death of Ellen Marie (Helen) Calland-Scoble nee Hammond. We are led to believe that she died in South Africa somewhere between 1901 and 1909. I have just been told that her husband went out as a journalist at the request of Cecil Rhodes. By 1909 her husband Henry George Calland Scoble was in Australia.

Can anybody give me any clues?
