Can anyone help please.
Have had a very productive afternoon (thanks to help from davidpinkney on the Middlesex board!) with only one final piece to put in place - Daniel Whitby in 1841.
In 1851 he is transcribed as 'James' Whitby (HO107/1751 f286 p8) with wife Mary and two children, James and 'Allen' - also mistranscribed from Alice. He was born in Orwell, Cambs in c1824.
Cannot find Daniel in 1841 when he should be 18 years old.
Can any clever person find him for me please

Thanks for your help David - don't feel as stupid now for not being able to find him. I took your advice and tried a general search, but even in a small place like that I still couldn't find him.
However, in the general scheme of things, I found so much information today (thanks to you) that I can go to bed happy!

I have manually scrolled through pages for Orwell and no sign of him in 1841 and he's not with any relatives fom 1851-1901 census which could lead us back to him.
