The Suffolk Fortress Coy
« on: Monday 12 June 06 16:00 UTC (UK) »

Hello Im Theresa Gaskell
Im Looking for Information on the Suffolk Fortress Coy, R.E. (T.A.). I have a picture My Nana had and she had it printed in the Newspaper. The Unit is Pictures at Weymouth.  My Nana asks if anyone would be interested. She was talking to a Dick Robinson who was at the Territorial Camps with my Grandad. The Picture was taken about 1935. and  a D. A. Godfrey of Ipswich says that the Picture was taken in June 1937, at the Nothe Fort, Weymouth. and was in the July 17ths issue of the Suffolk Fortress Coy, R.E. (T.A.). I would like to know if anyone knows of this picture or anything on the Camp. I would like to know more about my Grandad during the World War 2.
Thankyou
Theresa Gaskell

Hi Theresa  Smiley

There are 2 things I would like to suggest,

Firstly have you tried emailing Weymouth Library with your query as they may have some info

Also if he fought in World War 2 you may be able to obtain his service record This is the link to the MOD website that tells you how

Best of luck
