Hi Listers,
A note of caution to those intending to take their camera for a visit to Shropshire Archives at Shrewsbury.
I understand that with effect from 6th June 2006, people will need a permit before being allowed to use their own camera, digital or otherwise.
The permit, issued by Shropshire Archives, will cost £5.00 per day or £30.00 per annum.
Apparently such a charge is quite common in other similar facilities.

I'm planning on going to the Archives on Friday and was going to take my camera into the Reader's Room. I think I will just take a pen and notepad now
