Hi Julie,

There is a Louis Dauphin living at St. Felix de Val in Quebec in 1871.  He is a farmer.

 In the 1881, Chenier, Drummond & Arthabaska, Quebec
I found Louis and "Mathilde" in the household of Edouard and Obeline
Dauphin ( et al)...However, even a search of only ther surname Dauphin
and the year of birth with a 5 yr. extension does not reveal a Vincent nor
a David in any of the censuses U.S. or Canada.    J.J.
