Looking for remaing 2 Horsfall brothers -
Edwin Horsfall - b. 1863/64 Todmorden,Yorks.
In 1881, living in Spotland,
Lancs. - silkdresser.
William Thomas Horsfall - b.1867 Langfield,
Yorks.
In 1881, living with
father, Robt. in
Langfield -
whitesmith appr.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

there are quite a few entries for William Horsfall but I can't see one born c1867 Langfield.
Do you know if William married - or if he remained in Yorkshire?
This looks like his sister Sarah -

Thank you for the information. You've been a tremendous help!
The only thing I know about William Thomas Horsfall is that he was born Mar. qtr.1867. The birth was recorded as Todmorden,Yorks. The 1871 census states Todmorden,but 1881 states Langfield,Yorks. I was told that Langfield may be near Todmorden. Could you possibly check 91 & 01 for his birth as 1867 Todmorden?
The only marriages I've found was for a William Thomas Horsfall ,Mar.1886 Bradford,Yorks. I don't know whether he remained in Yorks. or moved to Lancs.
Sarah H. Horsfall(b.1874 Todmorden) possibly married Sept.1891 Halifax to Edwin Hartley or George Edgar Whiteley or
Dec. 1891 Todmorden to Thomas Calvert or Arthur Heyworth or
Mar. 1892 Halifax to Joe Park or Oliver Pilling.
Sorry, I don't have more definate information to make things easier.

Hi Nancy,
William's place of birth can be either Todmorden or Langfield. Todmorden is the Town - Langfield is the Civil Parish.
I'll have another look for William

I have had no luck at all in finding a good match for William.
I can't find a William Thomas Horsfall in 1891 or 1901.
I can find only one William Horsfall giving Todmorden as his place of birth - but I can see him in 1871 and his father is Richard.
I tried to find a William with occupation "Whitesmith "but drew a blank there too.
In other words I was completely unsuccessful!
