I am researching the life and work of the writer Mary Cholmondeley (1859-1925), for a critical biography. She was born in Hodnet, Shropshire. Her parents were the Rector, Richard Hugh Cholmondeley, and Emily (née Beaumont, of Newby Park, Yorkshire); her uncle was Reginald Cholmondeley of Condover Hall, and the Percy family of Hodnet Hall were cousins. Rowland Corbett was a close family friend. Cholmondeley moved to London in 1896 and from about 1907 she also lived in Ufford, Suffolk. I would love to hear from anyone with family anecdotes, letters etc relating to MC or her family. See also: www.marycholmondeley.com
