Hi there,

I've found a John Preston Brass caster on the 1851 aged 33 born Claverdon, Warwickshire
Wife Sarah aged 35 born Birmingham (as are all others!)
Daughter Emily aged 9
Son William H aged 5
and son John aged 3
John Pears widower 77 father-in-law

This a possibility?

Regards,

I am looking for the very same John Preston - my great grandfather.  I have been unable to find him on the 41, 51 and 61 census.

However, there is a John Prestin listed on the 41 census, born c1836.  Mother is Sarah - father John with 2 sisters Sarah and Mary.  John Preston senior passed away prior to the 41 census - I am unsure of his  occupation though.

Mother Sarah remarried in 1846 to a David Martin - they had 2 children between them.  On the 51 census Sarah is not listed but all 5 children are living with David and under the name of Martin.

That's about as far as i have got.

I'd also be greatful for any further information.
