Looking for any information on William carruthers born 12.8.1858 in Cockermouth who married Elizabeth Towers in Cockermouth about 1878. I think they then moved to Workington before moving on to Glasgow where they had a daughter, Mary, born 1888.
Any information on William or Elizabeth or their parents would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya,

I have connections to Carruthers that moved from Annan/Cummertrees to northern Cumberland - Bowness, Port Carlisle mainly.  They were mariners mostly.

If you find your way to a Scottish connection or an over use of the names "Robert" & "Francis" happy to share what I have.

Hi I have an Elizabeth Towers in my family, birth date unknown but chr May 1859 in Dean ,which is very close to Cockermouth. Have names of siblings and parents.
