Hello,
many thanks for your help and information,its been a great help,that would fit in with the information i had about the family living in Ashperton later on,i know beacuse i went to see them at Ashperton as a kid.
But the last part was a bit of a shock,the Rosa Jane Philpotts i was looking for was born about 1885 in the bishop frome/fromes hill area,she then married a Thomas Anthony in 1911 in Withington.
Do you think she was a daughter to the first Rosa Philpotts?or this there another reason?
I know there is a family link some how.

Do you have the marriage certificate for Rosa and Thomas Anthony ? This would show her father. Hereford Register Office would hold this.
Was she with the family in 1891 ?

i am not sure if she was with the family in 1891,but i think she was born Jan-march 1885 bromyard area,ref 6a 330.
Yes i do have the marriage Cerf,it says that that the father of Thomas Anthony was a John Anthony,
but no father for
Rosa Jane Philpotts

On the 1891 she seems to be with the Craddocks [ 2070/2 ] at Bishops Frome, and her place of birth is down as Cradley. There were a number of Philpott births on the IGI for Cradley but finish at 1872 or so, so relevant date not available !
Seems if you want to track this one down it is an application to Bromyard Register Office for the Birth Certificate.

No trace of her baptism on the IGI, but I did uncover on there that Rosa Craddock [ nee Philpotts ] father was called Richard

if in 1901 Rosa Jane was a Craddock, on her married cert in 1911 she was a Philpotts ::)sorry to ask,all should i just wait to i get get her birth Cerf?

It was probably all about respectability, and telling the truth to the vicar ....!
As there was another servant from Herefordshire in the Handsworth household it may be she knew her as one of the Craddock family, but when she got married accurate information had to go down in register !
