Oxcroft Collieries
« on: Monday 19 June 06 17:30 BST (UK) »

I am trying to find out if the Oxcroft Coal Company Limited that ran Oxcroft colliery No 3 in 1930 ran any other collieries in the Worksop area. My grandfather, Gerald Garlick, was one of the directors of the company, but I believe he may also have been connected to other collieries in the area. This colliery was also known as Barlborough No1 colliery.

Thanks for the link, but I think the family only bought into their first colliery with money that Gerald Garlick's father made during World War 1 from food sales to the army in the tranches.
