Oh I do hope it finds its owner or ancestor
So many cherished photos & albums are given away through time.
I know my side had heaps of photos taken as my mum has a sample of them but where the rest ended up .... who knows!

Have you thought of getting in touch with the cemetery where Florence Stewart is buried? There might be family who still care for her plot.
It looks from the previous listing of her death, that it could be http://www.cheltenhamcemetery.com/

Hi,
You might want to try the City of Penrith, Mayor's office, (as this is where the album was turned in). Unfortunately, I cannot find the website for Penrith.
Also, as the other Florence Stewart died in Canterbury, you might also want to try there. This would probably be the best place to start, as she would probably be buried there as well. The cemeteries should have last known contact details for the owner(s) of this lair. The city might also have property tax details, or a city directory, showing names of residents in or around 1947. http://www.canterbury.nsw.gov.au/index.htm
They may be able to either post on their websites, or local papers, or someone there, may know the family. If you scan some of the photographs, showing cemetery, soldiers and even the photo of the zoo, they may be able to narrow it down a bit.
On another board on Rootschat, I contacted the mayor's office for a city in Canada, and he was able to locate the family directly. Here is the link, that shows the results. http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,101535.120.html
You might also want to post on the armed forces board, possibly with photos of the soldiers, asking if someone could do a look-up for enlistment papers of "Stewart" in or around the Canterbury area.
This may sound like a longshot, but not impossible, as the other board shows.
