1901 Census - ADAIR
« on: Thursday 22 June 06 17:25 BST (UK) »

Hi,

Would someone kindly look-up George Adair b. 1874 in Liverpool and his wife Mary. I have lost them from the Liverpool area yet they have left their son with his grandmother and they do return later. Also there is no sign of some of their childrens births in Liverpool but Whitehaven has three of same name and approximate birth dates so I wondered if they had relocated for a few years.
If someone could check I would be grateful

Thanks
Sue

Hi

He was not in Cumberland in 1901.  If any of the Whitehaven births you mention were pre-1901, give us details and we can see if they match to another family.
Where was Mary born and when?

Hi, did you ever find your George?

I have one but he is not born until 1884. His father is Charles and his mother is Margaret Louisa nee Jenkins.Margaret and Charles had 7 children , the first 5 born in Liverpool the other 2 in Wishaw Scotland. The whole family appear on the 1891 census for Wishaw.
Probably not yours but maybe related

Hi,
I don't think I ever found them for that period. I do know that his birth was definitely 1874 in Liverpool and his wife Mary was also born in Liverpool around 1876.
Their children were Henry 1897 then Samuel, Nancy, Mary, George, Joseph and William all born after 1901.
Thanks anyway!

Hi Sue

I checked the Scottish 1901 just in case but no luck

You've probably already got this marriage
