HO107/2143 Folio 774 Sch 16
15 Waterloo Street
Bancroft Thomas 31 Taylor (Master) Leicestershire
" Fanny 20 Derby
" Elizabeth 2 months "
Note the age has been transcribed as 31, however after close inspection of
the original sheet I think it is 21. There is also a place of birth other than
Leicestershire but I am unable to read this.
Hope someone else will take a look and give an opinion.

Thomas Bancroft looks like age 31 and then altered to 21 -pretty sure it is 21
P.o.b. looks like Leicestershire G?ton ??ne (could it be Girton Lane??) Wi??idg??le?y
crossed out is Staffordshire Newcastle -
the person above (who is the lady next door!) has her p.o.b. crossed out and Staffordshire Newcastle written above the crossed out original entry
It seems the p.o.b. for "the lady next door" was entered for Thomas and then altered accordingly

Looking again-with a clue!!
It reads
Leicestershire G??ton Lane Worthington Leics
Seems the Leics is entered twice - in full and then abbreviated.
Just for interest-1861 Thomas birth is transcribed as Lancashire Worthington -but image clearly reads Leicestershire Worthington

Hi,
I know that Thomas was 21 in 26/02/1849 from his Marriage certificate to Fanny CHAPLAIN. I'm glad that I now seem to have evidence of the Worthington connection too!
