New to RootsChat but so glad to have found the site! 

Have been looking into my husband's side of the family.  These are the Collyer's in his line:

Matthew Collyer b. 1781, Murlsey.  Married Elizabeth ? b. 1791, Mursley
Thomas Collyer b. 1816, Mursley.  Married Elizabeth ? b. 1821, Little Horwood
Eliza Ann Collyer b. 1851, Mursley
Emma Collyer b. 1854, Mursley
George Collyer b. 1857, Mursley.  Married Eliza J Green, b. 1859, Cublington
George James Collyer b. 1878, Mursley.  Married Ellen Turner b. 1880, Bushey
Eliza E Collyer b. 1881, Mursley.  Married Ted Caryl
Arthur Collyer b. 1882, Mursley.  Married Rose ?
Herbert C Collyer b. 1886, Mursley.  Married Kate Bliss, then Alice?
Sidney Collyer b. 1889, Mursley.  d. 1910 aged 21
Rose L Collyer b. 1896, Bushey.  Married William Catton

Have tracked the family via census returns.  I know they moved to Watford by the time the 1901 census was taken. Would love to hear from anyone who may have come across them or may have any connections.  Smiley

I dont know anything about this family but I grew up in Mursley and am still going back quite a bit so if I can be of any help let me know. There was a couple called Collyer-Wright in the village when I was a child in the 1980s but I dont know if they were from Mursley or not.

Thanks for your email and your kind offer.  It was quite a surprise to find my husbands family originated from Mursley as we have lived down the road for nearly 20 years!  We have visited a couple of times to check one or two things out but we are still researching, particularly interested in Thomas and Elizabeth Collyer.  Thanks again.  Regards  Anne Smiley

I have an

Emma COLLYER/COLLIER b: 1843 Long Marston, Hertford married to a James BATES in Marsworth. 

they moved to Berkshire before coming out to Australia.

I do not know Emma's parents or siblings (yet)
