I thought that they were from Essex but on the 1851 census index I have Richard Harvey 79 born in Cocbridge Suffolk. It seems to me that there is no such place in Suffolk but I think I've seen a Cockfield.
Any ideas about what to do next?
Thanks Sue

I now have a copy of the original 1851 entry ( kindly supplied by another Rootschat member ) It is impossible to read the place of birth but it definitely ends either in bridge or ridge, it's the first bit that is illegible.
I've had everyone take a look but we're still puzzled. I'm not at all convinced it could say Woodbridge and have checked the IGI but only 1 Harvey appears in Woodbridge around the right time ( not mine!)
Have also checked out the hamlet of Eastbridge but alas no luck.
So the hunt continues Regards and thanks Sue
