Lydia Towells, believed to have been born about 1770, and believed to be of Langport, married to James Melville Marriott (1773-1853) of Greenwich, Kent married in 1797 in Langport.

This is a dead-end for me right now.

I have one Towills as a remote link to my tree.

Sarah Ann Towills born abt 1847 in Weymouth married Charles Jolliffe born 1848 Portesham. They had about 8 children between 1871 and 1885.

no Towell's / Towill's in my tree but found these marriages:~

Aughter Towell to Eidia Toope 14 Sept 1686 at Loders Dorset.
Thomas Towel of Bishops Sorn to Mary Carswell 8 Oct 1706 Lyme Regis
Robert Towels to Mary Farr 37   April 1744 at Wyke Regis
Ann Towel to James Marshalsay 9 Dec 1790 at Chickerell
Elizabeth Towel to Thomas Bishop 13 Oct 1804 at Charmouth

i hope these help,

also found 6 marriages for Towil/ls if you want them let me know.


(please note i have not checked all the parishes in Dorset as i do not have access to these, in particular i have not checked Weymouth as this is one i do not have access to.)
