Hi Jed Stu,
I checked the 1901 census for Canada and there are quite a number of Jakemans and many Stanleys.
In order to help you we need some further clarification about the specific people you seek. Some forenames and birthdates would give some clues as to whether we have the proper people.

Hello Beth, many thanks for your help.
I think it's near impossible to find Edward Jakeman \ Gackman \ Jackman & AKA Edward Stanley on the 1891 census, born Adderbury West, Oxford UK c1861-63 and living in either Canada or USA between 1892 & 1930.
