hi again i know u have your walsh family completed but during my research i came across a birth record for daniel walsh 1867 father was john mother sarah cormack john was a stonemason and in my surmising i have connected john as a brother to my great great grandfather kieran walsh a carpenter  both lived in ballinahow parish of holycross in 1867, also ur daniel named one of his children kieran not a very common name in bouladuff at that time so mayb called after my kieran perhaps his uncle mayb u have dis info already but thought id share.... Smiley

Hi,

I think we may be connect after all. Grin My great-great uncle, Kieran may have been named after his uncle, I think this may have something to do the Irish naming pattern. That is: fifth born son named after his father's 2nd oldest brother
or his mother's oldest brother. Plus, on Daniel's marriage certificate his father is listed as a John and his occupation, 'mason'.

great! i do believe im on the right track as i c on one previous post a johanna walsh was a sponsor to your great great uncle kieran walsh baptism and she was my great great aunt. ah tis a small world Smiley Wink i am now trying to trace where the first kieran and john originated from and any info i find i wil share,  take care   , sinead.
