Hey, does anyone know if there is anyway to find birth records of Walsh' in Bouladuff (I'm trying to find the parents of my great grandfather by the way of birth records.)

If they were born or married 1864 or after, their civil registration records should be traceable.Either from the GRO in DUblin, or from the local registrar's office; Bouladuff comes under Thurles Poor Law Union; civil parish of Inch.

I saw your email while surfing through the net and was surprised t see my name appear on the world wide web.
 I’m not related, I moved into the parish of Bouladuff in 1977. I looked up register in parish records when I read your notice and noticed the following.
James Walsh, born 17th February 1904, son of Daniel Walsh and Mary Mulcahey. Sponsors were Michael Kenney and Joanna Walsh.
Also noted on register Kieran Walsh born in 1908 brother of the above. I do believe he had other brothers and sisters. And some of his relations may still be in the locality.

also found james walsh in parish of holycross born 1895 to view further payment is required with north tipp geneaology great site but expensive i have spent a small fortune Sad but bouladuff often comes under parish of holycross templemore or thurles just a matter of searchin, if u have his dads first name is alot easier. hope its of some assistance Cool Cool

Hi everyone,

Just an update on my progress with this family, I was contacted a few weeks back from a very nice man, who happens to run the Garda Museum in Templemore. He was greatly interested in my James Walsh, because he had researched him as a part of a thesis. I have found that James was actually one of twelve children, who were born from Newtown to Ballinahow to Beakstown to Dovea to Bouladuff. I think this chapter is now closed, but I want to thank everyone who has helped me on this family.
