Am tracing the roots of John Richards, born 1840's in Barrow Upon Soar, Leics.  Son of Joseph Richards and Elizabeth Walpole, he married Fanny Newborn in 1869.
Did he have any siblings?

Bridge Lane, Barrow-upon-Soar.

Joseph Richards. Head. 25. Ag. Lab.
Elizabeth. Wife.
Samuel Richard. Wid. 60. Grocer.
All Born within the County.

Interesting that on next page (Bridge St. Barrow)
There is a large Family of Walpole's Huh

1851 Index Census for Barrow didn't bring any of the above names....Sorry....

1861. Scanned Census ....RG 9 / 2266 / Page 48.
Found a Joseph. and Elizabeth of Approx: right ages
but no John....Living in Ratby....

But seeing the Occupation of Joseph that of AG. Lab
he could have moved about County with his Job.

Also no Newborn's came up on the 1861. Census ?

I'm sorry I couldn't give you better New's
But please come back if more help required.
