can anyone help? im trying to trace my grandfathers family the surname is linssner, he came over around the 2nd world war but his family remained in germany. i have put his name into the search of most sites but get nothing, could there be a different way of spelling it?
http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk/ shows that somebody by this name became a British Citizen 14 Dec 1960 - he was a Blacksmith from Germany and was living in Hampshire at the time.
yes that is him thank you very much. yes he married in england twice 1st in 1950 and then again in 1985. will have to look at them links you gave me now, thank you again
jorose, i know its a pain but you couldnt tell me what part of the gazzette you found it in could you i have tried searching his name, the date, blacksmith, and naturalization but all searching come back no results
Kurt P. Linssner married a Stella J. Smart in Andover Oct/Nov/Dec 1950 Vol 6b page 185 - this certificate should give you his age/father's name/occupation.
