I am looking for a Roy Collins who was in the Royal Greenjackets in the middle to late 1950's. He would be about 67 now and he was in London, possibly Archway or Highgate in 1957/1958.
He met a young Irish lady there with whom he had a relationship. This young lady went back to her home in Ireland when she was pregnant and gave birth to a daughter in December 1958. He visited the young lady's home sometime around Easter of 1958 and I understand saw his daughter, however, the young lady it seems, despite his best efforts, did not want to continue their relationship. As far as I know they never met again.
I am not the child of that relationship, but I know who she is and she is interested in finding out more about her father.
I am happy through this medium to be the intermediary.
