I am intrested in anyone who has the surname Mckegg or Mccaig in their tree.
I am tracing my grandmothers family on my mothers side and have got back to 1847, starting with the name Mckegg to the name Mccaig.
I live in York where my family live but there is one of the Mckeggs that seems to have gone AWOL and i feel  that he went out of our area. He disappeared in 1850 after losing his wife and left his son with a foster family in York.
I am also intrested in where the family comes from.
Scotland or Ireland?

Any help from any areas would be apprecated.
