McNeals of Paisley, 1800-1850
« on: Sunday 09 July 06 15:57 UTC (UK) »

Seeking links to a John McNeal, b. Paisley, 1802, a tailor, who emigrated with his family (a wife whose maiden name may have been Wilson, son Peter (b. about 1833, son John (Jr) (b.; 1840, d. 1923) and a younger daughter) to America in 1845 and was settled in Newburgh, NY, USA by 1853. His wife and daughter passed away shortly after their arrival in USA. I am a greatgreatgrandson through John McNeal (Jr), who became a successful mason contractor in Newburgh after service in the American Civil War in 1862.
The photo is of my father, John's only grandchild, when my Dad was 1 year old in 1903.
