Hi,
I am searching for the 1841 census disposition of Thomas Tyler and his wife Mary Tyler in Rutland. It is understood both born in Uppingham but Manton a possibility. Ages would be most likely between 65 and 75. Probably deceased before 1851 census.

Looks like a possibility that Mary (60) is alive in Uppingham - with a son Thomas born circa 1814 (allowing for the 1841 practice of rounding ages down) and other children.
Realtionships -as you may know - arent shown ...
Uppingham Hundred of Martinsley HO107/896/10 Registration district is Uppingham Folio 5 Page 2
Living in the High Street ...
Mary 60 Head - looks like Tanner as occupation ! -Y- to born in county ... Frances 35 Jane 34 Edward 32 Tanner Thomas 27 Alice 24 -N- Jane - 5 days old

Thanks again Necromancer and please disregard my last message. For some weird reason only the part of the message in bold was displayed initially and the rest came down a minute or two later.
Regards and thanks again Crowboy

nope, I do that to show other researchers that I've started on formatting my transcription - otherwise you pull it together and type it in only to find that someone else has already done it !
