Unless you're lucky enough to find a rellie researching the same family, the best way to find out more about JWP is to buy his marriage cert: this will give his age and father's name/profession, which will make it possible to look for him on censuses. (I had a quick look at the 1901 census, but there are just too many possible John Pearsons!)
You could try looking for Wifred's brothers on the images of the GRO BMD index - free at http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx After 1911, the mother's maiden name is given, so you should be able to find any born after that date. It takes a bit of patience, but you can usually find the records you need.

Hello Aliwoo, I haven't found John yet in 1901, but this may be his family??? There is John William with them in 1891
1891 268 Danesmoor Clay Lane ClayCross Derbys John Pearson Colliery Labourer Notts Moorhouse Emma wife 32 Lincoln Bassingham JOHN WILLIAM 9 Woksop Notts Mary E 8 Worksop Notts Thomas E 7 Bolsover Derbys Alice 5 Langwith Derbys Herbert 2 Ratcliffe Notts Mildred 1 Worksop Notts
by 1901 it looks like Emma had died and John had remarried? 1901 North Wingfield John Pearson Head 40 General labourer Newark Notts Annie L Pearson wife St Giles London Herbert son 12 Notts Worksop Mildred 10 Notts Worksop Harriett 8 Yorks Bawtrey George H 2 Wingfield Derbys Mary Shelley Visitor W 27 London Paddington Dolly Shelley visitor 5 Paddington Phyliss Shelley visitor 3 Paddington Cissy M Shelley 4 months Paddington Elias Dexter Boarder 23 Pipe Moulder Alfreton Derbys RG13/ 3242 Page 6
Maybe (because of the age gap) George H was John Williams half brother? ?
1881 John and Emma are living at 1 Bracebridge Worksop with Johns brother Walter Pearson and family and John is an ag lab.
Maybe his Occ is given as Farmer on wedding cert as he was poss working as an ag lab at that time???
Will try to find John in 1901 later-what was his occupation at time of marriage??

Think this could be John William in 1901 1901 93 Cheapside Worksop Notts Frederick J King Head 27 Colliery Blacksmith Bedford Colesdon Rebecca E wife 32 Worksop Notts Elisie greaves Neice 7 Worksop Notts JOHN W PEARSON Cousin 23 Colliery Blacksmith Gatesford Notts (Gatesford is an area of Worksop)
RG13/3124 130 36
So it seems like John was related to the Kings -maybe Edith King (witness at marriage) was a cousin ?
