Frederick Carr - Warminster, Wiltshire
« on: Tuesday 11 July 06 00:27 BST (UK) »

Hi,

I have hit a brick wall and can find no further information on Frederick Carr, born 1827, Warminster, Wiltshire.  He married Jane (surname unknown) and lived in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

I am trying to go further back and have been trying to find out details of his siblings and parents and any other relatives further back.

Any help as to where to go next would be greatly appreciated. Huh

Do you know roughly when and where he married Jane?

It looks like Hannah was still alive in 1851 - HO107/1843/116/124
Address:   Broad Street, Warminster

Hannah Carr, ML, W, 67, WIL Warminster

Living with her daughter, Eliza Fear, (nee Carr) and her family.   No sign of Frederick in Wiltshire in 1851.

Hi rugbymad,

Here is Fredericks Baptism in Warminster St Denys

Frederick CARR baptised 20 Jul 1826 Parents Richard and Hannah

Siblings

Eliza 20 Dec 1812
Harriet 20 Dec 1829

Looks like could be others Baptised St George Wesleyan Methodist Warminster

Richard born 7 Dec 1814 and baptised 24 May 1815
Edward born 27 Jan 1820 and baptised 20 Feb 1820
William born 4 Dec 1823 and baptised 4 Jan 1824

There is a Hannah baptised 29 Nov 1840 at Christ Church Warminster which seems too old unless it was an adult baptism.

Marriage St Dennys 20 Jul 1810 Richard Carr= Hannah Ingram

There is a Richard Carr baptised St Denys 10 Feb 1790 parents John and Ann

and a probable sister Mary 26 Feb 1777

I can see 3 Ann Ingrams baptised in St Denys no Hannah's

Ann baptised 28 Dec 1785 parents Joseph and Ann
Ann baptised 25 May 1787 parents Robert and Ann
Ann baptised 7 Apr 1790 parents Robert and Ann

Hope it helps....Cheers Kris  Cheesy
