Please tidy up the in-laws
« on: Tuesday 11 July 06 01:09 BST (UK) »

Hello everyone,

I have been watching the board  for a while and have been amazed at the restorations!  I hope someone will be able to fix this photo up for me.

I have been lucky to make contact on the  net with 2 of my partner's rellies who have been kind enough to share photos and stories, so I have a few photos to post here ...

This is the Eddy family -
Richard and Louisa (nee Fauckner) both born 1841 in Cornwall, and their children (clockwise from lady seated at left):  Ellen, Thomas, Caroline, La Briton, Amelia, Francis and Louisa.  All the children were born in Australia.
The names are written on the border around the photo, and "Maryborough late 1800's" .

Caroline is Lachlan's great-grandmother.  He is not especially intrested in family history  Sad but I would like to have this printed up for his mum.  I only have a scan of the original, so I hope it is suitable  to work with.

Thank you for your help!

Gail

Hi -

Struck by your name.  Why are you named after the blue footed booby?  I think we are the only two with scientific names of animals as our RootsChat name.

Mike, that is wonderful - there's so much more detail visible now.  Thank you very much!

The hats are incredible. aren't they?  ("Mum, why is the one in the middle wearing a taco on her head?")

Erato,  the name is a tribute to my unparalleled skill and grace on the dance floor ...  but  I like to think that "dance like nobody's watching" is a good thing.
