I don't think so, I live round the corner from Bromham and my daughter recently did some research on this village for a Georgaphy A Level and had to check census returns, so back to 1841 it was still Bromham. I have a friend who does Genealogy research in Wiltshire, I'll have a word with her just to check.

Dear John & Libby, thanks for your replies. I'm very interested to learn all about Wiltshire as it appears that's where my AMOR grandmother's ancestors came from. So I had a good read of the genuki site.
The reason I was asking re: Broomham and Bromham is that I received a genealogy document stating 'Broomham' and 'Southbroom' as birthplaces for some ancestral AMORs ... going way back 1500s-1600s. Might it have been called Broomham then? And is there still such a place as Southbroom?
Cheers, Alison in sunny Queensland, Australia in the new Millenium.

Ok Alison My friend says you are right it was once called Broomham, and Southbroom is in Devizes, just down the road.
My daughter found this in a book :-
Bromham Called Bromham in the Domesday Book, the name means the hamm (land in the bend of a river), where broom grows. In place-name studies the Saxon word hamm can be confused with another word, ham (village). Early spellings are needed to tell the words apart.
Hope this helps All the best from sunny Wiltshire
