Looking for family of Alexander McEwen Smith

Hi I am looking for the family of Alexander McEwen Smith. He was born 17th July 1903 in Perth. His fathers name was John Smith and his mothers name was Joan McEwen they married on Oct 21st 1898. He moved to the uk but not sure when, I know he was here in 1950. I have just found his death and he died in 1977 in Westminster. Would love to find out more about him and his family. Wondering if he had any siblings. Also wondering if he was married and had any children. As he is the father of my ex mother in law. She never knew him at all. He never married her mother. All she knows about him is he was a big man with diabetes. Would love to find some family. Especially as my ex mother in law has never even seen a picture of him before. Could she have brothers and sisters out there. Fingers crossed that someone out there knows someone in this family.
