Robert Malone,my g.g.grandfather was a master stonemason.His address is given as Athgarvan on the marriage certificate of his daughter in 1864.He was still alive in 1872.Between 1881 and 1886 his widow had moved to Liverpool.Would there be any records of master stonemasons? I suppose there were many Robert Malones who died during that period,so finding his death record may be a lengthy job!Any ideas welcome.

Hiya Fran,

There may not have been many Robert Malones of Athgarvan during the period you think Robert died. I would think he was in the Athgarvan area most of his life if he was a stonemason. I don't know of any records for mastermasons but it might be worthwhile to try Kildare Library as he may appear in a directory.
