Hi Joncee,
Is the birth year of 1846 correct for Thomas? as there is a Thomas Stimpson on the 1871 census born in Whissendine and living in Shoreditch,but he's 36!
Could it be him? if so I will post the details for you

Hi Joncee,
I did a search of the 1871 census for the surname Stimpson with Whissendine as a keyword and these are the names it came up with;
All Born in Whissendine.
Charles Stimpson 25
Jane Stimpson 20
John Stimpson 17
Joseph F Stimpson 45
Sarah Stimpson 46
Thomas Stimpson 36
And that would seem to be it,are any of these any interest to you?
