cornwall parish records
« on: Monday 17 July 06 12:35 UTC (UK) »

Hi I am looking for a Elizabeth Andrews born between 1848 and 1852. On Canadian census she has a different age for each census.
Her father's name was John and his occupation was miner. Elizabeth was married in 1871 in London area and then came to Canada in 1872. On Elizabeth's marriage it says her father was deceased. Any help will be appreciated.

There are a lot of Elizabeth Andrews around of that sort of age and all the parish records are not indexed for the years you are looking for.  Do you have full details from the marriage record to hand? For example, the exact date (before or after the 1871 census?), and her address at marriage.

She got married in 1872 in London area and them immigrated to Canada. It seems that she changed her age each census. On marriage cert said she was born in 1854. and her fathers name  was John who was a mining capt. deceased. I found one that may have been her in St. Just but not definite. I was told that her father died in a mining accident.I have looked at a site regarding mining accidents but did not find him. her husband was just as bad regardin age. In 1871 he was 34 which is correct. On his marriage certificate he was 24. I know it was the same person because the address was the same on the census and the marriage cert.
