Hi,
I see that you are researching or collecting the Gamblen names from the Fareham, Titchfield and Droxford areas.  Are you related to them?  I see that you were referring to William & Charlotte, he is my grandfathers uncle and wondered if you were related in some way?

Hi there Tad,  Thanks for this message, I have not been back to this site for months!! William Gamblen and charlotte wingham had a daughter Jane b1817 Titchfield who married william butler (1807 -1842) in st. Marys Portsea 1837. Their daughter Jane (1840-1906) married Joshua Andow (b1838 Glastonbury Somerset) in St Thomas's Portsea 1867. Their son Joseph was my great grandfather. He was a butcher in portsmouth where my grandmother was raised. Seems we are related!

Debbie.

Hello both -

I have Fanny Gamblin b. 1851 Shedfield, Nr. Fareham (Droxford Reg. district) in my tree.

I don't collect in-laws, so I don't know anything about her parents, or siblings, but she married George Vince - they had three children and then George died and Fanny married Alfred Reed in 1890 in Portsea.

Alfred's father John was my grand-dad's brother.

Is Fanny is either of your trees?
