Heatley's « on: Wednesday 19 July 06 13:20 BST (UK) »
Hello, Iam hoping to confirm that William Heatley (born 1791 approx) in Ford and Catherine (born 1791 approx) were definately the parents of my g g g grandfather, Samuel Heatley born abt 1826 in Ford. His siblings would of included: William 1810 Robert 1818 Andrew 1827 Foster John 1828 Ellen 1829 Dorothy 1831 Thomas 1835 There may of been more children of this marriage, but these are all I can find. All born in Ford. I suspect that William heately Snr's parents may of been: William Heatly & Alice Taylor married in Ford in 1786. Any information would be welcome Sue

Hi Sue,
I have these entries from Presbyterian registers -
Crookham 16 March 1820 John son of William Hately, labourer, Cornhill, by his wife Catharine, daughter of Andrew Hunter, was born 16 March 1820
Etal Elenor daughter of William & Catherine Hately of Rhodes was born 19 March 1809 Robert son of William & Catherine Hately of Rhodes was born 6 December 1813
Ford burials 4 May 1812 Eleanor Hately of Rhodes, daughter of William Hately, husbandman, by his wife Catherine, late Forster. Died 2nd May aged 3 years.
I don't know if these are the right family for you - there seems to be some disagreement about Catherine's maiden surname.

Thanks emjay!! The Etal and Ford info could definately be related to me and are possibly part of the Heatley family I'm anxious to trace. Not sure about the Crookham connection but thanks anyway! Sue
