Too many bricks! -COMPLETED
« on: Monday 17 July 06 22:06 BST (UK) »

I'm trying to get a slight pattern to my pages and have been playing around with various images. I have read that overall random patterning was supposed to be the best for not showing joins, so aimed at this.

I thought I'd designed something I liked - first image - but when I put it up on my page, the joins definitely show and I get a brickwall effect (second image)   Roll Eyes

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of the mainly horizontal join marks please.

Thanks

Well, I think I've solved it  Smiley

There was a one pixel depth row of 'out of pattern' pixels at the bottom of the gif.  I've taken them out and it seems to have improved it!

Given up on the gifs for the moment, though I may use them on something or other. There is always the problem of them looking like old fashioned bathroom tiles  Huh

I'm using a plain background at the mo -see the NOF thread.

I found it was best to use a plain background (black), with small areas of relief.

You can buy fish food at a pet shop.  Grin, and as for eating them you can go to the shops and buy frozen fish. Fancy going to eat them poor little goldfish. Cry
