Hi Everyone,
I can't seem to find one of my husband's ancestors on '61-'91 census.
Walter Scarlin DANIELL (Born: June qtr 1856 Tunstead Norfolk - from freebmd) He married Ellen Maria HOOD Jun qtr 1878 Norwich.
I found Ellen in 1891 in Norwich, without husband, with the kids.
In 1901, two daughters are living with Walter S Daniell in Colechester Essex. (born 1860 Homing Norfolk)
I keep going 'round in circles and would like to know just where he vanished to between '61 and 1901 - and was still able to produce a family
Rather confused? - So am I?
Any ideas very welcome
Thanks Di

Di,
here is a possibility for 1861. Horning is 3.3 miles from Tunstead. This family certainly moved around.

Di,
George was a Fundholder. I take that to mean he was well off and they could afford to travel.
I haven't had any luck finding him in 1891.

I know the feeling Di. I can sit here and find other peoples families, or go right back to 1841 for friends - no trouble at all. My own lot are a nightmare.
I have more than my fair share of twists and turns and disappearances. It's frustrating but certainly not dull!
I'm glad you have made progress with Walter's family.
