white family

  my ancestor Felix parkinson white born Newbury,19th April  1834, his father was william and was a solicitor and his mother was eliza parkinson, married Leah Morgan in south australia, but don't know the year, hoping someone out there can tell me of any siblings or any connection at all. don't know what year he left the UK

Hi there, Cheesy

Have you tried looking for your ancestors through the links in the emmigration board on this site.  You may find something in a ships list,  these are quite comprehensively researched and may lead you to more information.  Also have you tried looking in census data to pin down the year he stops appearing.  Otherwise with just a name it is a long-shot to find him.

For a few pennies a record, the 1871 Berkshire census is searchable at www.familyhistoryonline.net. Don't know what the minimum spend would be tho'

thanks pauline, I have just found that his 1st daughter was born in Australia, 1866, is there an earlier census ?
also on his death certificate it states how long in the colony, and it works out he came about 1849.
