Hi The only name I have the same is Steer, mine came from the Limpsfield area and married into the Hall family.
Have you added your surnames to the Surname Interest Table, it is worth it, you might find a link.

Hi Kerry,
Most of my surname interests are in the Table, but a few recent discoveries have yet to be added!
My Steer married into the Phillips family in Nutfield in the 1760's, my geographical knowledge of Surrey isn't that good, so i have no idea whether Nutfield is anywhere near Limpsfield or not!
Regards,
David

Hi David
I have the Surrey road atlas here, coming in very useful lately! Nutfield is just near Redhill a bit along the A25 from Limpsfield.
Hmmm
I have a Mary Steer born 1745 to George Steer and Martha Young. I will go and see if I can find any more info about the family.

Hi Kerry,
My Steer, Elizabeth married William Phillips on 11th June 1766 in Nutfield, which means that Elizabeth would have been born at around the same time as your Mary.
Wonder if they were sisters!
Regards
David

John Steer m (1782, West Clandon, Surrey) Mary Heathorn (her mother was a carrier of haemophilia, so she has a 50% chance of being so). They inherited land from her brother in West/East Clandon in 1785. They are not the John and Mary Steer having children in Horsell between 1772 and 1788. Happy to exchange information if connected.
