Looking for the marriage details of Agnes Cardey[or variants] born around 1824 in Carlisle then the family moved to Dumfries.I am interested also in her on the 1851 census I think she she may be under her married name by then.

Hi Dotty,
There seems to be a Agnes CARDY marrying a John Rafferty on the 10th of May 1844 in Dumfries, don't know if this is the right Agnes but if this is the couple you are looking for then this is the census entry for them. I can't see another obvious choice although the birth place does not seem to match for this Agnes in the census.

Hi Emma,
I have been trying to progress with the research of the Cardey/Cardy/Caidey family,my main research is through her sister Margaret and my brick wall John Cardey and Elizabeth Lynn who married in Dumfries in 1822.According to the 41 census which I don't now have access to Agness I thought was born England in 1824 Are you able to check the 41 census for me please?I thought I may find out other things if I tried another member of the family.Thanks for your posting and any help you may be able to give me is much appeciated.
