Anderson/Daftmill

Hi Iam trying to find the parents of Isabella Anderson she married David Simson in Collessie 27 Dec

1822, I sent of for wedding certificate but parents not listed in them days don't know where to go

next would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Helen

If Isabella lived past 1855 in Scotland then her Death record will give you the names of both parents.
Scottish records following the introduction of Statutory Registration are more detailed than English records. The accuracy of the information of course, depends on how closely related, and well informed  the informant was to, and about the deceased.
All Scottish records are available on scotlandspeople.gov.uk
It is a pay to view site but the records are detailed. 30 Credits can be purchased for £6.00. Viewing of an index entry is 1 credit. Viewing the digital image of the actual register entry  costs 5 credits and they can be downloaded and printed off. 5 full entries for your money is good value. Time expired, unused credits can be re-activated by purchasing additional credits.
Old Parish records prior to 1855 have much less detail and so far images are not available from scotlandspeople but can be viewed in the LDS family centres on Microfilm or Microfiche.
