Hi everyone,

Help!!

I have a marriage of a George West and Sarah Clarke at st marys aylesbury on 26/3/1854

I'm trying to find there births.

My cousin did the family tree but she has passed away and left the tree with some holes in it and i am trying to fill in. Some of the info she gave me doesnt seem to pan out so i'm trying to get it together.

Now George & Sarah came to Australia sometime aroung 1857 from what I can tell they had a daoughter Harriet Sophia West born in England before they left maybee around 1855?

Ive tried ancestary and IgI but not having much luck.

If anyone could give me any ideas where eles to look I would be greatful

Hi,

I believe Sarah was born 10/8/1828 at aylesbury, but have no idea on George west, he is the one I am after as he is the relative. He died here in Australia in 1899 I am trying to get a copy of his death cert.

My cousin did this side of the family tree about 5 years ago but she left out a few things and some don't add up, I tried to contact her but found out she died 3 years ago. (we were not close as she lived in Queensland and i live in New South Wales). All her paper work is still with her husband but he wants me to pay for it and i have to wait 1 month to find out how much he wants for all of it. So i am trying to do some investigations on my own.

i have already done the Scotland side of the family so I do know how and where to look, but having problems with the English side. there doesn't seem to be a web page that gives you the cert and census that i can get from Scotlands People.

PS my cousin had him down as being born in Middlesex but i don't think its right as she also had the father & mother of George as being Samuel West & Sarah Watkins married 27/6/1800. this would make them to old for a son married in 1854 (as far as I can tell)

So any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the marriage cert of these two if not who is the suspect name of father of George West.

I only have the copy on IGI with says they were married 26/3/1854 st marys aylesbury buckingham England.

Can you tell me where I go to get the actual copy of marriage cert?

That would be very helpful.

It gives ordering details not sure about oversea details but you can order over the internet and pay on line ..bit of a delay at the moment ..seems everyone is at it.

Hi Kack,

have you had a look at the West family group site, it is a website for John and Francis West and their family tree, John was fairly famous back in the 1600's and founded Christ Hospital. It is a website with a family tree listing all thw West family members and their decendants, mine have a distant link also through a Berksire/Buckinghamshire link, you could be lucky, worth a look anyway.
