Hi Geoff, I hope you haven't taken my Romford 1841 as complete. I think it is only the first census. She may be lurking in one of the untranscribed census of Romford, or elsewhere. Best Kevan ps I would personally purchase a copy of the Archivecd 1841 census http://www.rod-neep.co.uk/acatalog/ess-census.html which i am sure is a lot better than the copy I have from one of the other companies.

Thanks Kevan, Geoff & Kate for the replies.
I must admit I don't know how long she stayed in Romford. Her mother Ellen Clare died aged 90 in Kensington 1879.
I'm going to try to find out when and where George and Alice married.
In the meantime thanks for your input.
