Hi,

I don't suppose anybody has access to the Parish records for Knighton?

I'm trying to trace the parents of Jessie McDonald, born in Scotland in 1853.  She married Edward Morgan on 1st Dec 1883 in Knighton, Herefordshire and I'm assuming that the record would list parents names?

Jessie flitted between Scotland and England during her life and is proving to be a difficult ancestor to track down!

Can anyone help?

Hi there

An English marriage certificate will name the groom's and bride's fathers, not both sets of parents.  Maybe invest in a copy of the marriage certificate?

This marriage will have taken place in Radnorshire in Wales. Knighton is now in Powys and there is a Register Office there.
