vron is fron and its at garthmyl lloydy i think we must be related because i am a bennett related to taywal and the bennetts lived on the fron my father 1924 til 1995  was son of edward bennett died 1963 or 4 and gwenllian morris 1900 to 1984 my brother has got quite a way back iv just been browsing this site and id seen your name on bennett family garthmyl berriew

Gosh!!! This is an old thread that has reappeared Grin

Claret - I don't have much info on my Bennett's as they are fairly new discovery. 

My GGG Grandfather Thomas Bennett was born c1826 Welshpool (according to census returns) and was a French Polisher by trade.  He married Catherine Mills, she was from Guilsfield.

I am descended from their daughter Elizabeth, also born Welshpool, who married a David Jones born 1845 Welshpool.

I haven't gone any further back with Thomas Bennett's line......it's another thing on my "to do" list Grin


I wonder how Doug is getting on with his Trow lot from Fron Huh

lloydy my ggrandad was richard bennett was married to elizabeth and i know breeze is in the family il have to get family tree off my brother i only looked on this site cos taywal was looking for william bennett who lived with taywals grandad during the war william was my dad so alfred bennett was my great uncle but i remember going to see my nana and grandad on the fron regularly and also my nana lee who lived at round oak berriew i was born gas strreet newtown its a car park now we went to bennett family reunion a couple of weeks ago in newtown as most of the family srtill live there we went to see mount pleasant on the fron but its all changed up there but it was the 60s when i used to stop there haha good memories though grandad bennett (ned) was a lovely man as was my dad bennetts are a very big family even now
