Hi
Have checked the address for 1861 and they were not in Emma St then - do you have a year when you think they could have been there?   Or any ages would help,
Cheers Cougar

HI AGAIN. APART FROM CHARLES AND CHARLOTTE UNFORTUNATELY NONE OF THOSE NAMES RING BELLS. I KNOW 12 OF THE 13 KIDS NAMES, NOT SURE WHAT THE OTHER ONE WAS CALLED AT THE MOMENT BUT FROM WHAT I CAN MAKE OUT THERE WASN'T MUCH OF AN AGE GAP BETWEEN ANY OF THEM SO I WOULD EXPECT THE ELDEST TO HAVE BEEN BORN IN APPROX 1895.
THANKS AGAIN

Just realised a huge mistake on my part. got my dates muddled. my grandad was born in 1916 not 1909. so i think that my great grandparents probably moved into emma street about 1900.
Sorry about that.
Thanks

Sorry - you have now got out of my area, my refs are all around the 1800's.
Can you send the names of the other children?  Might be able to track them down that way

Oh boy what an interesting family
Cannot find any of the children on the 1881 census anywhere.
Tried looking for Leonard Sheldrake - not there -tried Charlotte Sheldrake - no joy there either.
Would have thought that there could have been at least one of them born by then - but obviously not.
To get the births you might have to try 1837.online - it is a pay per view but not expensive.
Sorry I couldn't help.

Hi.
Managed to find my great grandad and his parents on the 1901 census. Great grandad was not as old as I thought. Only 16 when the 1901 census was taken. Hit another wall now, looking for my great great grandad, Manning Harvey. All i know about him is he was born about 1844 and he was a Jew that married outside the religion. I also think he may have changed his surname to Harvey as there seems to be no record of him on the 1851 census for Bethnal Green where he was born.
Will let you know if I eventually find anything
Thanks

Hi
Don't think this is the right Manning Harvey. The one on the 1901 census says he was born in bethnal green. Quite uncanny though. My Manning's wife is also called Eliza. His kids were called Charles, Albert, Grace, George and Adelaide.
I'll keep looking though. He is bound to show up somewhere eventually.
Thanks
