researching the name gorman from aharney tullamore I believe before that the name was gormican john gorman married mary cooke in 1877 and had the following children taken of the 1901 and 1911 census mary gorman bpt 1 may 1878 peter gorman bpt 11 july 1880 married hilda e.m.withers in london anne gorman born 1881 or 1884 census's work out different years hugh gorman 1889 catherine gorman 1891 patrick gorman 1893 michael gorman 1895 john gorman 1899 martin gorman born 21 nov 1901 aharney married mary margaret byrne in 1935 at donnybrook dublin maggie gorman 1906 be nice if anyone could help with bpt of the above children or marriages,I believe one went to america , one of the girls, martin came to england.be glad of any help.happy hunting. jackie maggie gorman 1906

I'm Hugh Gorman's grandson (one of four). His date of birth is 1888 and Peter's is 1877 (fought in Boer War and WW1 where he was injured.) An interview in 1970 is on file in the Imperial War museum. Is Jackie O'Gorman your real name? I thought we were the only O Gormans. Co-incidently Jackie O'Gorman is my wife's name.
Are you Martin's grandaughter? The only person I ever heard mention Gormican was him. I'm not sure this is correct.
There is one part of the census that intrigues me. My great grandmother is aged 60yrs in 1911. Three of the children are aged 12,8 and 5yrs.....
